Our History

Wheaton College will celebrate its sesquicentennial in 2010. There’s a lot for us to celebrate. For almost 150 years, Wheaton has successfully united a strong faith with a contemporary, liberal arts education.

That focus on faith and learning is enhanced by a passion to prepare people for leadership. For six generations, Wheaton College has provided a place where the leaders of each new generation can come to prepare for the future and for their place in it.

Shaping the leaders of the future is a passion shared by Conference Services. We’ve been hosting conferences and events on campus for more years than some colleges have been in existence. Many of these programs provide core training and immersion experiences for youth and adult learners.

Our commitment to excellence merited Wheaton College the collegiate conference and events industry’s highest award for “Outstanding Institutional Achievement.” We consider it a privilege to be an industry leader. But we consider those lives which have been touched and changed through the programs we host to be our greatest achievement. More than any award, these are the stories that validate our success.
